Save the peace & tranquility of Gougane Barra for future generations

One of Ireland's most unique scenic areas, Gougane Barra in Cork, is at risk from environmental degradation if plans for a massive wind farm go ahead.

Even though Ireland's experiment with wind energy has failed, as we are forced to build more gas power stations to keep the lights on and electricity prices have skyrocketed, the wind hysteria is not yet over. Future generations will wonder how could one of the most sacred places in Ireland be industrialised by wind developers.

Please sign the Petition to stop it and be on the right side of history :

  1. Gougane Barra is a very special place however.......Who in their right mind would sign a NIMBY petition?
‘We fully support the need to make fast progress on renewable energy; there are already more than 35 turbines visible from the hills around Ballingeary village, just a few kms from Gougane Barra. However, as stated by TD for North Cork Aindrias Moynihan in the Dáil, “You cannot make another Gougane Barra but you can find other locations for a wind farm.”...’

  2. They might get more signatures of support if they removed their support in general for renewable energy junk and their subsequent NIMBY comments from the petition!

  3. The climate hysteria and the wind farm scam to accompany it are a human condition so that many people have to feel frightened about something. There is usually a ranking of scares, Hell was top for a long time, then nuclear war, global cooling and then warming. Now with Ukraine, the spectre world war looms. The spectre of nuclear war looms also. It looks to me like the Russians helped climate nutters in the west with money and advice to push this green wind and solar generation so as to make it more reliant on Russian energy.
