Coldest December in Ten Years

December 2020 was the coldest December for 10 years. 2010 was the coldest winter for many decades which means that since then there were two cold snaps (2010, 2020) and two warm snaps (2015, 2018) so no overall trend of warming or cooling for the darkest month in the past decade.

The graphs below begin at 2011 but bear in mind that 2010 was way below average as was widely reported at the time :

Perhaps this is another reason for the pressure hospitals are now under as more people are ill due to the cold.

Another cold winter like 2009 and 2010 was due based on the normal 11yr solar cycle. Those cold winters coincided with the swine flu outbreak that caused excess mortality rates in excess of mortality rates attributed to COVID that has become more or less the umbrella term for all respiratory symptoms regardless of the cause. Why is the swine flu of 2009 in this year's annual seasonal influenza vaccine? Is the supposed latest new strain of corona virus perhaps swine flu circulating? How can there be a new more contagious strain of corona virus circulating when the HSE apparently reported just before Christmas Day that they have zero records on their files of having fully isolated in a lab SARS-CoV 2 yet alone a new strain? What perfect timing...What a perfect combination of a harsh winter when bad influenza viruses generally tend to circulate to create 'a second wave'! Temperatures to crash according to Met Eireann.
